We Love LnA Deep V Neck Tees

I am so excited! We have the amazing LnA deep V tee shirt in stock over at our other website. When I pulled the first one out of the package I was suprised at how incredibly soft the cotton is. And when I tried one on, I fell in love. I want to keep them all for myself! It looks like a boyfriend tee, but you put it on and the fit is just a little sexy.

LnA tees have quickly become a celebrity favorite with everyone from Jessica Alba to Mary Kate Olsen to Hayden Panetierre, to Jennifer Aniston. The deep V neck can be layered for a casual look or dressed up for the red carpet as Mary Kate so famously did. LnA tees come in tons of bright colors plus the classic black and white. Our site has black, white and electric blue and we will continue to add a variety of colors through summer and into fall.

Check out our LnA tees here, and if you feel like shopping use coupon code SHOP15 for 15 % off.

Shopping That's Good For Your Soul

I hate to toot my own horn here on Shopaholic, but we've added a couple of cool new items on our other website Bare Threads Online, and I have to share.

Ari and Heather at A Scent of Scandal have added two new special edition scents to their soy candle lineup and both benefit awesome charities. A percentage of the proceeds from the grass scented "A Roll In The Hay" and the ocean scented "Rock The Boat" go toward Farm Sanctuary and Sea Shepard, two organizations that work to save the lives of animals. You can check the candles out here. A Scent of Scandal candles are made of 100% soy wax and the smell amazing. $15.

The other great new product on our site are the Kitson OmniPeace tote bags. These eye catching vinyl Kitson totes help raise awareness and money for the OmniPeace organization. A percentage of every bag sold goes to help impoverished communities fight disease and hunger. Not bad work for a day's shopping. We have them for $79 in black and purple.

Tank Top Advice

Summer is coming, it will be here like next week here in central CA. That means I will soon need to expand my tank top collection. I have countless numbers of beater style tank tops because, never having to dress up to go anywhere, my summer uniform consists of cropped pants and a tank. But I wear them until they're gross and stretched out, so every year I have to replenish my supply.

I have lately become addicted to these U Neck tanks from a company called LA Made that we carry on our website. They are nice and thin and super comfy, and great for layering. I wear them to the point where they belong in my dust rag cabinet. If you are looking for a great, inexpensive tank top, look no further than LA Made. They retail for about $22.

My other favorite tank is the 2x1 ribbed boy beater from American Apparel. They are nice and thick, 100% cotton and they are the perfect length. They come in 30 colors and a three pack retails for $42. American Apparel also makes great basic tees and comfy toddler tees and pants. They are a great place to go for basics, but the website can be a bit off-putting. You may feel as though you've landed on a racy porn site at first, because they take really suggestive catalog pictures. In fact the home page today is showing a little bit of naked boobie. If you can look past that to shop the site you won't regret it.

Wide is the New Skinny

My favorite jeans this fall have been a wide leg style from Paper Denim and Cloth called Jayne. I took a pair out of our boutique a few months ago and have been wearing them almost non-stop. I was never one to wear anything with a wide leg in the past, but now I have wide leg fever. Obviously I am not an avatar of this trend; actually I am just now catching up. Wide leg jeans have become quite popular over the past couple of years and, as usual, I am a fashion follower instead of a fashion leader. Nevertheless, I am now contemplating my next purchase of jeans with a wide leg look. Here are the contenders:

Chip and Pepper San Fran Flare
My friend Britney over at Gossip has these cute Chip and Pepper flares that I am dying to go try on. They have cute embroidery on the back pocket and a great wash. You can check them out at I Love Gossip.

7 For All Mankind's Ginger
This has been a popular flare for quite some time. I like the high 9" rise on this style, it would hold my tummy in nicely. This style is available in many places in the Mercer wash, but to me it looks too much like trousers. I want them to look like jeans. Nieman Marcus has them in the Barbados wash, they claim it is exclusive to them. Very cute.

The celebrity favorite are the Hudson Wide Leg jeans.
These are super cute with their signature pointed flap back pockets. I worry that these would not fit me very well, because of my tummy/back area propoortions. I could be wrong, so I'll give it a shot when I come across a pair. You can get them at Nordstrom if you are prepared to pay $198.

So, I'll work trying on these all on, and then let you know which ones I go for. I'll also definitely be reordering the Jayne for our website, maybe in a second color also.
