Lindsay Lohan Leggings: Unnecessary or Just Unoriginal

So, I hate to beat a dead horse, but I've taken a look at Lindsay Lohan's legging "line" at Shop Intuition and all I can say is, "Why?" It's so unneccessary. And so overpriced. And can it really be considered an entire "line" when there are only 4 pieces? And don't you think Marilyn Monroe's bones are rolling around in their grave because the "line" is called 6126 after Monroe's birthday?

I know Lindsay needed a project while she was waiting for another acting job to come along, but I think she needs to stick to her day job and here's why:

When all you are "designing" is 4 pairs of leggings and 2 of the 4 pairs are more expensive knockoffs of something that's already been done, why do it? Just my opinion.

Save or Splurge: Embellished Trapeze Dresses

I love this little dress from Pink Ice. The drapey trapeze sillhouette is given a boho edge with the wooden bead detail at the neckline. Cute and cool for summer. And at only $34.99 it's quite the bargain.





If you like lines of the Pink Ice dress, but need something a little more posh, try Bordeaux's pearl embellished halter. Similar idea, but the Bordeaux dress is lined with their signature smoothing body shaper. You get a chic dress and body slimmer all-in-one. It's a bit more spendy, ringing in at around $200, but it seems to be well worth the price.





Shop Intuition has it in Black, Orange and Lawn for $205, but this very cool website called Artfulwears has the Orange and Lawn for $187.

Ankle Gloves...Yea or Nay?

Lindsay Lohan is all set to release her new line of leggings called 6126, and Shop Intuition is carrying a first look item excusively. They are leopard print "ankle gloves," a kind of mini-legging, if you will. Here is Lindsay wearing the ankle gloves:




So, I am not feeling this. I kind of think that we don't really need more leggings in the world, and certainly not a celebrity line of leggings. I like leggings, don't get me wrong, it's just that I don't think there is a need for expensive styles designed by the star of "Freaky Friday" when they are so easily obtained at AA. I also wonder if "ankle gloves" isn't a fancy way to say "leg warmer" and I'm not going there again.



Perhaps I'm being hasty...What do you guys think? Do you actually love them, would you buy them, and what will you wear them with?
