I used to think Uggs were for mountain men and people in Alaska. When the whole Ugg thing started and we were seeing Kate Hudson running around with Uggs and shorts I thought it was the ugliest thing I had ever seen. But, lo and behold, I have been sucked in by a trend once again and have become a full fledged lover of Uggs. It is obvious that I have no ability to think for myself and am easily persuaded by the media with regard to my fashion buying choices, but in this case I don't care. The rewards of warm, comfy shoes are too great.
It all started when my hubby gave me a pair of Ugg slippers for Christmas a couple of years ago. They are so co
mfortable that I couldn't help wearing them constantly. I then purchased a pair of faux Ugg boots from Costco, but I found that I didn't like them as much. So again, as a Christmas gift, I received a pair of the classic mini's in chocolate brown and I just adore them. I wear them constantly in the winter. And, they are definitely more comfortable than the Costco cheapies. But, I did wear those cheapies in the snow last weekend and they really did the job. My feet stayed completely dry and you can't tell on the leather that they were wet. So there you go.
Now I must have a pair of the classic short boots in either sand or chestnut.
Oprah featured the Ugg Crochet on her Favorite Things show, but the crocheted boots just don't work for me. I think they are pretty ugly. But maybe by next year I will have changed my mind and decided I love them.
So let me know, are Uggs hot or not? Am I hideously trendy? Answer our poll and let me know!
